I was the original creator and author, and eventual publisher, of Would You Rather…?, which quickly became a cultural phenomenon and a massive multimedia brand, reaching millions of people across the world.
Working with a variety of partners (Fremantle Productions, Spin Master, Barnes & Noble, and more) Would You Rather…? has spawned books, games, comics, calendars, a DVD game starring Howie Mandel, and a TV show currently in development.
BOOKS
Over 2 million Would You Rather…? books sold!
I, along with my co-author, wrote all of the questions, working with major publishers on some books (Random House, Barnes & Noble), and publishing others by way of my own publishing company: Seven Footer Press.
GAMES
Board games were a natural extension of the brand. Partnering with Spin Master, we created the games, with me curating and writing the questions, and helping to formulate gameplay. Millions of people have played Would You Rather…? games, and sales remain strong as ever wavered, proving WYR to be an evergreen brand.
Comics are featured in our card games and books.
Various incarnations of WYR board games have focused on different age groups and style of play. They’ve been sold in every major retailer.
THE DVD GAME
We created a DVD game in collaboration with Imagination Games. I consulted on gameplay, direction, writing, and product positioning.
TELEVISION
I created, designed, developed, pitched and assembled an all-star producing team, including Fremantle Productions, for a Would You Rather…? Game Show. I am consulting on format and content.
