Playfusion’s first release Lightseekers: Awakening was a Brand-to-Life role-playing video game/platform that reviewers called “Skylanders on steroids.”
Lightseekers merged video games, A.I.-infused toys that could function as game controllers, cards featuring our proprietary Augmented Reality, and animations with audio cues to activate toy and game effects.
The product line was given prominent displays at Toys R Us including a screen to demonstrate/play the game along with interactive AR signage/packaging that encouraged in-store downloads and purchases.
Toys are used to control your video game avatar, while weapons/characters light up and change color when game objectives are achieved.
Trading cards featured augmented reality that interacted with the game, allowing characters, pets, and weapons to be imported.
The cards also functioned as a standalone trading card game. We regularly use events and tournaments across the world to engage and create community.
(Featuring Barbie, Lego, Nerf, Animal Planet, and more)
Toys R Us was so impressed with Playfusion’s proprietary Augmented Reality/Computer Vision and how Lightseekers integrated it into its packaging and signage to encourage in-store sales/downloads that they asked us to transform their store into an AR playground and to create games for major toy brands (Barbie, Nerf, Lego, Animal Planet) that drove consumers to Toys R Us locations and promoted sales via game rewards that were discovered and achieved in-store.
In-store interactive 3D AR experiences included shooting hoops, embarking on a safari, racing a monster truck, nurturing a baby, and fishing from a digital pond that appeared in the middle of the TRU floor.
Playchaser also enhanced the Holiday Toy Catalog, allowing pages to come alive through AR and helping kids quickly and easily assemble an interactive list of their favorite toys.
Playfusion created AR signage such as this poster for Animal Planet that allowed kids to explore and search for animals in a virtual world.
Playfusion teamed with Games Workshop to produce the Trading Card Game/Digital game hybrid: Warhammer Champions which used our proprietary computer vision to scan cards into the digital app.
In addition to developing products and experiences, Playfusion has licensed its innovative tech platforms to third parties. See more at playfusion.com.
